PhD. Wu Shengmin went to Paris, France participated in the 31st Economic Cooperation and Development Organization (OECD) working group meeting on good Laboratory practice (GLP) in March 28-30, 2017. The OECD GLP working group is composed of members of GLP regulatory organization, mainly engaged in OECD GLP and mutual acceptance of data (MAD). The Working Group regularly discuss and coordinate GLP principles and specific items, conduct GLP inspector training course, report member countries complying with GLP principles, and promote mutual acceptance of data from non-member countries.
This meeting was attended more than 80 delegates from the OECD member countries, non-member countries, and observer countries. The meeting discussed the summary of the 30th session, informed the relevant works since the 30th meeting, and reviewed the assessments reports on GLP inspection on Poland, Canada, Australia, Mexico and Estonia. The meeting also disposed the on-site inspection on Slovenia, Greece and Japan in 2017, and overall planning on on-site inspection from 2018 to 2027. In the meeting, the participants listened to the temporary compliance country Thailand's report on the implementation of the GLP Compliance Program. It also provided information on the preparations for the 13th OECD GLP Inspector Training Course held in Poland.
In the meeting, PhD. Wu Shengmin exchanged views with GLP representatives from other countries, introduced the characteristics of GLP monitoring system and the latest developments in the GLP system construction in China. Through this visit, we further understands the latest trends in OECD GLP management and data mutual recognition (MAD). This participant in meeting not only promoted GLP management of our laboratories on chemical testing, but also expanded the international influence of NIES.
